Position Overview:

As a UI Developer you will be implementing innovative designs that make our solutions and services the market leader in In-Store Digital Merchandising. As a key member of the Technology team, the UI Developer is responsible for the development of front-end (consumer-facing) Web applications for our SaaS-based solutions.
The UI Developer is expected to have knowledge and experience in developing and supporting Web-based applications across multiple environments including mobile, employing user experience design best practices.
The UI Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including: Business Development, UX Design, Development and QA, in developing new consumer-facing UI’s, improving/maintaining existing ones and addressing users’ needs, experience and usability requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

Implement high quality Web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, Ajaxand REST/JSON API’s
Support development, integration and consumption of middleware services using PHP and Java
Prepare UX/UI design artifacts including, blueprints, wireframes, storyboards and pixel-level mockups or interactive prototypes
Participate in the creation software design artifacts, including software requirements specifications, use cases, class diagrams, sequence diagrams for implementation
Participate in user experience design practices and activities

Education and Experience:

College or university degree in Web Development, Software Development or equivalent experience
Experience with HTML4, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, AJAX
Experience with HTML5, CSS3
Experience with SOAP and REST/JSON API’s an asset
Experience with PHP and Symfony (preferred)
Experience with Java, web services, CXF a valued asset
Experience producing UX design artifacts a valued asset
Experience in developing Web UI’s for consumer-facing web applications (e-Commerce; SaaS)
Experience in the digital signage, marketing and advertising industries would be a valued asset
